About Me

My name is David Vowles

In 1974 I received a university degree in music and subsequently began my working career as a high school music teacher. Although I left teaching in 1986 I continue to play music to this day. I then got an advanced business degree (MBA) and had a very successful career in the corporate world where I put my teaching, presentation, public speaking and people skills to good use. In 1999 I leveraged all of those experiences into the development of a very successful Financial Planning practice which continues to this day. In this role I help individuals and couples create and implement successful investment plans for their futures.I love to work with people and to help them reach their goals. It is because of this passion that I also have become an Officiant. Nothing gives me greater pleasure than helping people achieve personal happiness and a peak moment for them is always their wedding day!

First of all I’ve been told that I’m a “people person” and I’m very easy to work with. Relationships, whether family, friends or clients are the centre of my universe. I love a project and I always make sure the job gets done with creativity and with the utmost professionalism.

I will ensure you have a memorable and unique wedding ceremony. And, in the process I will bring originality and a sense of humour to the table.

As a Wedding Officiant, I am certified by Humanist Canada and licensed by the Province of Ontario to perform legal wedding ceremonies. Humanist ceremonies are non-religious and focus on the core values of respect, equality, compassion and love.
